Meet Jenny Fredrickson
Jenny Fredrickson is a nurse practitioner with over 20 years’ experience in women’s health. She is a graduate of Hernando High School. After graduation, she attended Northwest Mississippi Community College to earn an Associate degree in Nursing. She worked for many years as a postpartum and labor & delivery nurse at Baptist Desoto. While working as a labor and delivery nurse, she returned to school to earn her BSN from Mississippi University for Women. In 2002, Jenny earned her MSN/FNP from Delta State University. In 2017, she graduated from The University of Alabama with her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree (DNP). In 2016, Jenny was nominated Mississippi’s Nurse Practitioner of the Year and has been voted one of the Desoto’s Best multiple times. She is a member of the Mississippi Association of Nurse Practitioners. Her publications include “Improving prenatal health behaviors in high-risk areas: Implementing a blended model of prenatal care” published in the June 2019 issue of Women’s Healthcare: A Clinical Journal for NPs.
Meet Darby Heitman
Darby Heitman, FNP is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurse Credentialing Center. She received her bachelor degree from the University of Memphis in 1993. She received her family nurse practitioner degree in 2002. She has continued to work in women’s health throughout her career starting out as a nurse in labor & delivery at The Med and then as a multi-specialty women’s health nurse practitioner at UT Medical group. After obtaining her license as a nurse practitioner, she has worked in all aspects of women’s health including gynecology, urogynecology, gynecologic oncology and obstetrics. She treats a wide variety of issues including hormone replacement therapy, urinary incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain, uterine fibroids, endometriosis and birth control. Darby is married with one son & one daughter. She has lived in Desoto County for over 20 years. She enjoys volunteering & attending her children’s activities, most outdoor activities, planting, gardening and raising chickens.
